Percocet And Pot Information in Questions
Is it possible to get a medical marijuana license in the state of Kansas? I have severe migraines all the time. My doctor wanted to prescribe me hydrocodone, but I've taken it in the past, and it doesn't work. Neither does Percocet. I hate taking pills because of all the side effects. Is it possible to get a prescription for pot in Kansas?

Mrs.Skripnik replied: "I am not sure about Kansas but I do know that in Oregon you can get a medical marijuana card. You could try calling the local health department they might has some more information on that."

Aries Girl replied: "Nope. Kansas has yet to legalize marijuana for medical purposes. My little brother has glaucoma and this would help the pressure in his eyes this has been medically proven and since kansas hasnt legalized it he has to have laser surgerys about every 2yrs. So dont feel bad you are not the only one wishing they would it will more than likely be several years before they do. What doesnt make since is that they are having problems finding the money for the school systems in the state and if they would medically legalize marijuana the taxes and fees they charge could go into the school systems. I wish I had better advice for you GOOD LUCK to you."

catie6206 replied: "no, Kansas does not have a medical marijuana law"

I have a question about taking percocet's & vicodin's. How many is to many to take at one time? My bf has a tooth that needs to be pulled. His insurance is waiting for prior approval before he can get it pulled! The dentist is giving him percocet's. They are the (5mg/325) The vicodin's are (5mg/500)I believe i have the dosages correct. He takes 3 percocet's & 1 vicodin in the morning! Then later on at night around 7pm he takes 3 more percocet's & also 1 more vicodin to. He don't drink no alcohol. He smokes pot but i don't think mixing that with the pills will cause any problems. I know mixing alcohol with pills that's a deadly combination!! Ok with this being said is he taking to many pills in one day? I honestly think he is. Plus i think he is abusing them. I sat him down today & told him taking this many pills can cause liver problems. It can interrupt breathing to if he would take to many pills at one time. He wont listen. He claims he is not hooked on the pills. He said his tooth hurts really bad. I mean i get his tooth hurts but gee-sh does he really need to take 6 percocet's + 2 vicodin's per day? Please help! Give me your opinion. He thinks im over reacting!Am i making a big deal out of nothing? Please help. Thanks every one!!!!

cowboydoc replied: "One of the vicodine is enough, forget the percocet or take the percocet and forget the vicodine. One or the other is enough, The pot don't help. It's not going to take the pain away. It, the drugs, can harm the kidneys, if he wants to plug into a kidney dialysis machine three times a week let him do his thing, I do think he's addicted."

mercedes_baby_boo replied: "That is too many pills. He shouldnt be taking both kinds. Its a one or the other situation. No Dr or Dentist would prescribe both pills to be taken together, so he is self prescribing/treating himself illegally. Together is overdosing on the tylonal for sure. Thats 2950 MG of Tylonal daily. Which is very close to clinically overdosing. The main concern is long term Liver damage. I really hope your boyfriend gets the tooth pulled and he gets help to get off the drugs. He should count himself lucky to have a girlfriend who cares enough to call him out on his pain problem. First thing you should do is ask him to only take what the dentist has prescribed for his pain control and only the amount listed on the bottle. Hopefully he will respect your concern and cooperate with you. Also if he finds that is not enough for his pain to be under control then tell him he has to speak with his dentist so he can adjust the pain med accordingly and by simply changin a medication can reduce his tylonal consumption but up his pain control with that simple change. Hope this helps you. I wish you both the best of luck!"

Would you rather have your kids smoke pot, or pop pills they know nothing about? There was a recent report on the NBC Nightly News about how teens usage of illegal drugs has gone down. ie: pot, coke, crack, meth, ecstacy, etc...BUT at the same time, prescription drug abuse has risen dramatically. In other words, they are getting into the parents, or grandparents medicine cabinets, and stealing Xanax, Klonopin, Lortab, Percocet, any kind of narcotic, or anti-anxiety drug they can get their hands on, not to mention they are widely available on the street. They are certainly not taking them as directed, but popping several of the pills at a time, mixing different meds with each other without knowing the adverse reactions, and have the more is better mentality. Personally, I would rather have my kid smoke pot. At least I would know that my kid could function normally, and not pass out at the wheel of a car, or overdose on pot, because it is impossible to OD on it. And just so you all know. Pot is not the monster drug the Government and media have made it out to be. In all reality it should be re-classified as an herbal remedy for nausea, glaucoma, pain, and anxiety. Of course you would rather have them do neither. Duh! But kids are kids and they will experiment. Pot can't kill you unless it is laced with something. That is an extremely rare occurance. You could say the same thing about alcohol. To Me: You are way off base honey, have you ever tried it. I have never been so stoned, (and I used to smoke a LOT) I could not function, drive, never came close to passing out at the wheel. That is all part of the Refer Madness Propaganda machine. I'm not as uneducated and stupid as you may think.

Scooterette1! replied: "I would rather have them do NIETHER. And pot can kill you, especially if laced with something."

jacks_insanity replied: "id rather my kids smoked pot than did any other drug, but i would hope they at least wait until college."

dreams613 replied: "I agree with you 100%. I would much rather have my child burn one than take some form of heroin in a pill. All those pills are so addicting and harmful. I too beleive pot should be reclassified, how can they catergorize it with Lortabs?? I have never known anyone to do anything crazy while smoking a joint, on the other hand those pills are so addicting and harmful!!!"

Me replied: "Function normally??? not pass out behind the wheel of a car??? Wow!!!! Alright - did you smoke a little too much in your times? Sorry - but that is absolutely crazy! The overdose - o.k. that point I give you, but people can die from pot-related reactions just as well! And pills just like any drug - they usually know which ones they should take for best effects... they are smarter than you may think! All drugs are bad for kids - they all alter their mind and can lead to serious bad consequences. For me there is only one preference - NO Drugs of any kind are tolerated - And BTW Home drug testing is a great way to aleviate your kids from peer pressure!"

Cara replied: "I totally agree with you, on all points!"

stazilla replied: "smoke the pole sweet heart"

elitesouthwest replied: "Smoke pills"

humanity replied: "God made pot, man made pills. Who are you going to trust?"

I have a few questions about percocet withdrawal! If any one has went threw percocet withdrawal or any withdraw? I want to hear your stories. I want to know what you went threw. Here is my story. First off i have 2 questions before i start my story. First off this is about my bf. Now he was taking 3 percocets 3 times per day. I believe they were 5/325!He is still going threw withdrawals yet but hes not in pain i don't get that. Why was he in so much pain when he was taking the pills? Was his body trying to trick him to think he had pain when in all actuality he didn't have pain? Then another question to why do they tell you that you have to be careful after you withdraw if you would start taking the same pills cause you could over dose?I am still new to this withdrawal stuff. And no he is not going to take these percocets ever again he did not realize this would happen. First to start he was taking pain percocets for his tooth. Hes waiting to get his tooth pulled. And that's how he started them. He also needed them for his legs & his back to. He was takin about 30 pills a week. The dosage was 5/325 i believe. I am not sure on how many he took a day but he took enough. Well here is the mistake that he made. He got switched to a new doctor. And his tooth & back were still bothering him yet so he got a script for 60 pills. Thats where he screwed up. He was takin 3 pills 3 times per day. He didnt realize when you run out of them you go threw withdrawals. He didnt realize that opiates is the worst withdrawal ever. Worse then meth! I took him to the hospital right away. He calmed down alot. They gave him medication for it. It was some sorta blood pressure med. My bf knew he could of took methadone but he didnt want to take another med that he could get hooked on & have to kick that habit to. Before he went threw withdrawals he was drinking a 2 leader a pop a day, smoking a pack of smokes per day & smoking about a half ouce of weed per week to. Now hes not drinking no pop obviously cause hes deydrated. Hes smoking cigarettes but only a few a day. Hes smoking pot yet but not very much. His body is not really wanting anything. Hes trying get his appeite up thats why hes smoking the pot otherwise his body dont want it. I am hoping to hear some of your stories to. I am getting better as well. I was so stressed out cause of all of this. I was telling him the whole time he needed to quit taking these pills & he didnt listen to me. I went to forums & read info told him about that & he still didnt listen. So i did my part any ways

kweenleanne replied: "I've done percs but I was never addicted. I find them to be a relatively fun but ineffective pain killer. I had a friend once who described them as making everything feel shiny. I think that's about right. Withdrawal is a bitch. I've never been through it with opiates but I have for other substances and the truth is that nothing will heal it but time. If your friend doesn't have the willpower to back of his substance, than he won't. You can't make him. Down as much water as possible, until it physically hurts, go to the bathroom as much as possible and it sort of helps to speed things along. For me, the physical symptoms were gone after about 2, 2.5 months. But the mental aspect really stuck. Pot can be tricky because it's not physically addictive so it's a decent substance to move to but the lifestyle can become comforting so be cautious. And for goodness sake, DO NOT quit smoking while experiencing withdrawal. It might work for some, it would never have worked for me. People with addictive personalities need an outlet when losing an addiction. I took up meditation. It worked for me. Good luck."

Republican Girl replied: "I was addicted to pain pills for about 2 years and the withdrawals were horrible. I was mainly on Oxycontin, which is basically synthetic heroin. I occasionally smoked weed and did cocaine. Methadone is addicting as well. Of course it helps the withdrawals, but he'll get hooked to it as well, so smart idea to not take it. I literally had to drop ALL of my friends, change jobs, change EVERYTHING! All that I was doing was contributing to my drug abuse. I went to AA about 3 times a week and saw a counselor once a week. I also went to outpatient rehab. This was all very helpful. I just had to keep myself busy. I also got in with my doctor, because withdrawal can be very serious at times. He needs to keep a check on his blood pressure and all that. He also needs to be very honest with his doctor and tell him that he's withdrawing from pain pills. I relapsed about 2 times, but got immediately back on track. He needs to cut out all drugs, but not the cigarettes. It's weird because when I quit drugs, I felt like I lost my best friend. So, he needs something (the cigarettes) to keep as his crutch. I quit smoking about a year after I quit drugs. I got my wisdom teeth out and used the patch, which worked well for me. It's all really a matter of how he spends his time and if he really wants to quit. Hopefully, all will go well, but you never know. Just be supportive but at the same time let him know that drug use will not be tolerated with you. He'll feel bad for a while, dependent on his frequency of drug use, etc. I was sick (nauseas, diarrhea, body aches, sweating, no sleep, fever, you name it) for atleast a month. Once my body was free of that crap, I felt wonderful! My body had never felt that good! It was great to know I wouldn't have to go through it again and the withdrawal let me know I never WANTED to do it either. Good luck."

i used to experiment with drugs. would you say this is a large amount?? i have tried: nitrous, pot, alcohol, opium, ecstasy, cocaine, speed, quaaludes, oxycontin, percocet, xanax, valium the reason i ask is because i had a discussion with a friend and the topic of drugs came up. we listed the ones we have tried and he said my list was a lot longer than most. would you agree? or would you say mine is average? BTW: i do not do drugs anymore, nor have i ever been addicted to a substance. this is back in the earlier days when i was young

esmerelda replied: "mmmm...I have done everything that you have, except for they oxycontin. But, I have also done shrooms, crack, heroin, acid and x...so I don't think you're doing too badly. The key is not getting involved too deeply, which it sounds like you haven't, so you're good. BTW...I haven't done any of this in a very long time...except for the alcohol...that I still drink occasionally!"

gypsy50309 replied: "i've done most of those and more. here's my list: pot, alchohol, opium, ecstasy, cocaine, crack, different types of speed, poppers, valium, vicodon, various other muscle relaxants/pain killers, mushrooms i think that's all. i still do drugs and i have been addicted to one substance, crack, which i do not touch anymore."

MegDizzle replied: "yeah, i would agree. that's alot of drugs."

traceilicious replied: "I truly am being honest with you ... that is a LOOOOOOONG list. You were a little walking drugstore. AND there are quite a few that have a high lethality."

poof10958 replied: "I would say your list is longer than average. But also Consider i never tried anything. Why would you? I realize most kids feel like they have to but I never felt the need."

indo19999 replied: "Anything abused becomes addictive. You can do whatever you want, but heroin, cigarettes and crystal are products that will ruin your life. The rest are casual because once you do them you typically aren't craving it. Trust me on this. I am 36 and have done all of the things you have including shrroms, but there is nothing that comes close to long runs, long bike rides, love from your family and friends... Oh and eating really healthy makes you feels great... Just remember what really matters. The love of Christ will set you free. It's okay to try things, but only rely on Jesus..."

missy replied: "Well, that is a pretty long list, but unfortunately i have seen worse. You should really consider yourself lucky that you did not become addicted (physically & physcologically) especially to the pills you have taken. Opiates are very powerful. Every single person i know who has used oxy's ends up using heroin. It's very dangerous. Glad you're not doing the drugs anymore!"

Melissa L replied: "I would say, "Yes". I think you have definitely used more recreational drugs than the average person."

MARKiTA replied: "no i dont think that is alot."

roeman replied: "yes"

Lee G replied: "Ugh, ive heard worse. At least you didn't do meth. My uncle is way worse he does coke and he's 52 and acts like a teenager."

Grapes replied: "I would say this is about average considering most the drugs you've tried have been prescription drugs. Believe me, I have seen longer lists than yours. You're fine : )"

Will you do time in jail if schedule III drugs were found in vehicle but no one in vehicle claimed them? 6 people in vehicle, too many people, seat belt violations, schedule III (percocet) 69 pills were found in console of vehicle, no one in vehicle claimed them. All were charged - could all go to jail? One has had numerous seat belt tickets, pot charges, rehab time, community service, etc., will the judge look at that also? One has hired judge and thinks will get off free - says drugs not belong to them? Wondering if they can or possibly will be charged with anything? Need to be, nothing else has worked - maybe jail time would help - no drugs found on the person? This is in NC

trooper3316 replied: "You could, it is your vehicle and you are responsible. Especially if they are in the console, I don't see how or why someone would put them there without you knowing. The court will think the same."

southarkansas replied: "driver of vehicle-driver is responsible for everyone's action"

MomOf 2 replied: "they couldn't charge multiple people with the same exact charge. So, everyone wouldn't go to jail. Only the car owner if no one owns up to it."

Deth replied: "yeah man ur ass is grass if ur the driver"

RetroRanch replied: "They can all be charged, but the reality is that only the driver can be convicted (in any kind of conviction that will stick). It's not reasonable that you can be convicted just by riding in a car in which the driver is carrying dope. And it's not reasonable that the driver can be responsible for what a passenger has in his pocket. Now, that's assuming there aren't other facts. If the whole crew was seen to troop up to the drug house to buy, and the car was stopped driving away, it might be different and might be seen as all of them jointly possessing it by agreement. Doesn't mean every D.A. would just drop everything against all but the driver, but that's probably how it will work out. The driver's cooked."

Claude T replied: "Why do you think getting ass raped in prison would help this person? All you have to do is call that number to the TV show Intervention."

have a drug test tomorrow ok no joke, i know 'don't do drugs' will be a big reply from alot of you but i have a urine test tomorrow and ""only"" took percocet, no coke or pot just pain med, what can i do so it doesn't come up in my test?? any help will be GREATLY appreciated, i heard drinking a cup of vinegar a few hours before i go in and tons of water will work, any suggestions besides don't do drugs? thanks in advance for any help

I see u looking at me replied: "Drink 2 gallons of water and cranberry juice...also a small amount of vinegar...it sounds hard but thats the only way i passed and i smoke a lot of pot...it;ll work trust me! GOOD LUCK!"

Lola replied: "you need to drink a lot of water"

blondi4life14 replied: "well dont do the drugs in the first place. nutto."

david replied: "It didn't show up did it? You know why that is? Because Percocet doesn't show up in drug tests. It doesn't convert into morphine (like other narcotics) so it won't usually show up anyway. ; )"

Drug problem? Hi, I'm a 22 year old male in college. I'm got extreme social-phobia-- I never speak to other people at my college. To counteract this, I use confidence inducing drugs such as cocaine, ritalin, adderall, meth, methadone, kratom, mdma, mda, 2cb to help talk to other people, and drugs like pot, heroin, oxycodone, percocet, opium, nitrous oxide, xanax, valium, vicodin, and tobacco cigarettes to help limit my social anxiety and be at ease. I want to stop, but if I stop using these (ignoring withdrawl) I go into panic attacks Im so nervous about facing the outside world. What should I do?

MHnurseC replied: "If you keep all that up, you'll be dead soon anyway. The upside is: no withdrawal, no social phobia and no anxiety.... Seriously, get help. There are drugs that can help you through withdrawal symptoms and to deal with your anxiety in a more healthy manner."

Ellie H replied: "Go to rehab dude"

andy panda replied: "talk to a dr. at your school, he can help you get off the drugs"

short3gears replied: "Stop knocking over drug stores! If you were NOT joking.... (as I was) then you definitly want to seek a counseller... I am sure your school has someone you can speak to in confidence. It doesn't have to be SERIOUS psychoanalisys... just go in and chat! Sounds hard, but a little one on one with a private therapist will give you a LOT of peace of mind and get you thinking in the right direction. I was/am agoraphopic (I think that is it? afraid of crowds etc). I don't even like calling people on the telephone. I went to see a counseller and was HUGHLY releived just by chatting. That lead to taking Lexapro and personally working very hard (and quite successfully at times) to get over some of my issues. It is not easy, but the drugs DON'T help much... I am an ex-alcoholic (3 months sober), I smoked a LOT of pot in my life (1 month sober) and still believe pot helped me - but I was smoking WAY tooo much... I stopped smoking to look for a job! After I get a job, I suspect I'll to a dube everynow and again :) That gives me a lot of peace, but over doing it does just the oposite to help combat your fears... Good luck. Get out there and find that help. Hopefully you'll loosen up in public with a little time.. It can be done... There are MANY people around you with the same problem - you just don't see it because they, like you, don't come out and talk about it!"

Kimmeh replied: "Go to a doctor and tell him or her everything you just said. You won't get in trouble with the police or anything by saying anything, medical stuff is confidential. You need help, and a doctor can send you to rehab and give you the RIGHT medications."

Beck replied: "The drugs will eventually be ur undoing (speaking from first hand experience) The drugs will turn your weaknesses into far worse ones . I got so paranoid and full of panic that i locked myself in my own house for about 4 months (Still taking drugs) i would not go and do anything. This messed me up for ages and the chemical imbalance drugs caused ment i had to be on meds for 4 years to correct it . If only people knew its not the harm your doing to yourself now really its the after that takes the longest to recover from so stop and do not be ashamed to get help u need it (like so many other people) but pls pls trust me drugs are not the answer they WILL DESTROY YOUR LIFE. Im totally drug free now except for the occasional drink and cig but life is far better this way."

Christine replied: "Definitely rehab, and NA."

mel the great replied: "go to detox, line up the other services there (counseling, groups, shrink, etc)"

chrisciello replied: "you have to be kidding, you actually use all those drugs at once? You are an idiot if you think anyone will believe you. Social anxiety gets worse with meth use, so there is one hole in your story. No doctor would give you prescriptions for ritalin, adderall, methadone, percocet, xanax, valium, vicodin, and oxycondone. It just isn't done. It's not safe. There's more holes in your story, but I won't call you on all of them! If you are really in college, you must be mastering in creative writing!"
